Guidelines for your dental visit at CTHP.

 

 Dental Visit Guidelines

WHEN YOU CALL OR VISIT

Our front desk staff will be polite and helpful. We ask that you treat them with respect.
* Rude behavior, yelling, or profanity is not allowed
* Our staff is protected by federal laws against harassment
* If these rules are not followed, your call or visit may be ended.

 

REGULAR EXAMS

Regular exams help keep your mouth healthy.

At these visits, we will:
* Review your health history
* Check your gums
* Take X-rays
* Screen for oral cancer
* Plan your treatment
Treatment usually begins at your next visit.


ROUTINE TREATMENT VISITS

These visits are planned ahead and are used to complete your dental work.
* Due to high demand, treatment may take several visits
* Arriving on time helps keep your treatment on schedule

OFFICE HOURS

* Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:
**8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM**
* Wednesday: (Wednesday mornings are for staff training and office work.)
**1:00 PM – 5:00 PM**

We are closed during lunch (12:00–1:00 PM).


OFFICE RULES

To keep patients safe and protect privacy:
* Only patients may enter treatment rooms if they are over age 12
* Family or friends should stay in the waiting area (unless needed for care)
* We do not provide childcare — please arrange care for young children


APPOINTMENTS

Please arrive on time.

* Arrive **15 minutes early** to check in and update forms
* If you are more than **10 minutes late**, you may need to reschedule
* Patients under 18 must come with a legal guardian
* The guardian must fill out forms and give consent
* Mothers under 18 may sign for their children
* Take any required pre-medication (usually 1 hour before your visit)

 

IMPORTANT

* Oral health can change over time
* You should have an exam and cleaning every **6 months**
* Missing appointments may delay or stop your treatment
