Important Billing Information for our PRC Clients

The CTHP Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) eligibility card is an important tool for eligible members who seek emergency or referred care outside of the clinic.

It is ultimately the Patient’s responsibility to provide their coverage information at each visit, and some costs may not be covered. So, please remember:

Carry this card on your person for any services you receive that are potentially PRC eligible.

This card allows a provider to copy and retain for their billing records as a reminder to contact or submit claims to the Consolidated for review and payment.

PRC funds will only be authorized after payment from your primary insurance payor.

If you do receive a bill from a provider please bring it the PRC Office as soon as possible so we can address the issue immediately.

If this card is lost, you may request another copy by contacting the PRC department.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact PRC directly at 707-467-5617.

New EHR System

CTHP is implementing a new Electronic Health Record system called Athena.

During the summer months, it will take a little longer than usual to facilitate all aspects of a medical visit as the new system becomes fully operational. There may be delays with labs, prescriptions and/or access to health records. Therefore, it is very important for patients to let us know of any delays with prescriptions and labs so that we can take care of it.

Please note: medical appointment reminders are now being done by the Athena system.

Reminders are being done two days ahead of the appointment instead of the customary one day prior. The system will try the patient's number three times before leaving a message. When answering the call, patients will hear an automated voice provide information about an upcoming appointment. There is no option to repeat the message, so if a patient misses any part of it, they should call 707-467-5649 to verify their appointment.

If patients do not want to receive automated call reminders, inform the receptionist when signing in, or call 707-467-5649 to let the Central Scheduler know they want to opt out of receiving these calls.

Patients:  please make sure that we have your current contact information in our records. The system will use the last number provided.

Walk in appointments are not for prescription refills, physicals or wellness visits.

If a patient cannot be seen, the patient will receive a scheduled appointment or be referred to the closest urgent care. Call 707-467-5649 or 467-5646 for more information.
